I know this type of question gets asked a lot, but I would appreciate your options. Whats a 2002 (MY) Z06 with less than 3000 miles on it worth.
A friend of mine that works at a GM dealership just told me about a guy who brought his 2002 Z06 in and tried to sell it to them. The car appeared to be in perfect condition and only had 2800 miles on it. Don't know what the dealership offered him for it but obviously not what he wanted.
I called him up and asked what he would take for the car and he said $25,000 firm. I'm going to see the car tomorrow. I don't really need the car (I have a 2008 C6) but I love the Z06. I would only buy it if I got a really smoking deal on it since I'll probably keep it for a year and sell it and lose money. (I know its a sickness)
In this market, this time of year in Utah I would say 22k max. Theres a 03 MY at a lot here in N. Colorado w/16,xxx on the clock "asking" 23,9xx. I just gave 18,400 for a mint (but needed tires) TR 01' with 41k with 4k in new stereo/nav equipment. Had to go to LA to get her.
25k is still pretty good for this kind of performance though.
If it really is in perfect condition $25000 is a pretty good price. Make an offer a couple thousand less. You might get very lucky and get a better Corvette!
If its bone stock and mint condition $25k might be as good as it gets. I would offer less, maybe $23k. If he has to sell it might work. I bought my Z a year a half ago. I payed $27.5k with 23k miles and 5k in nice modds. The Speedway White sold me.
25k is an incredible price for that mileage....im kicking myself in my a$$ for paying 24k for my 02Z with 51k miles on her.....it was at a dealership so what do you expect
Another "whats it worth" IF it looks too good to be true.....
Went down yesterday to check out the car. The odometer and the condition of the interior indicates that the car had 2800 miles on it. However, the exterior indicates that they were pretty hard miles. Don't know how anyone can beat up a car so badly with only 2800 miles. The paint was so scratched up, it looked like someone had used sandpaper to wash it. Three of the wheels had curve damage. The bottom of the engine was covered with a wet oily residue. Took it out for a test drive and one of the wheels was either bent or badly out of balance. Told the guy I would have to think about it but knew I didn't want any part of that car.
