Cleaning filter on Halltech Stinger System
The winter mods are in progress and I have my intake system off and apart. Wanted to clean my filter head since it is dirty. The Halltech comes with a blue oiled fillter. I have a K&N cleaning kit. It has red oil. Anyone ever used this combo and will my filter turn a red color, which is really what I want, or be a off blueish red nasty combo?

HALLTECH uses S&B FILTERS (CA) as do many of the after market vendors.
You can use the K&N cleaning kit if you don't mind the change in colors. Or you can buy the S&B FILTERS cleaning kit for about $15.95. They offer the oil in red or blue.
They also include a small measured syringe that pretty much eliminates the chance for over oiling and contaminating the MAF as regularly happens with the K&N aerosol kit...
