Time for me to renew my vette insurance and I have started to shop for prices. Does anyone have any positive or negative feedback for Progressive Insurance?
I have Geico. I'm 40 miles from you Chuck and Progressive was 25% higher than Geico. Not sure if it was that I live in Virginia or not. I have a perfect record(so far) and found Geico was the best.

I am getting a quote from them as well. Do you have any experience(friends, family etc.) with the quality of their claim response and customer satisfaction?

Not personally. Some of my co-workers have them and was happy with their response and resolution of any claims. (one accident & one windshield repair)
I'd check out State Farm. I'm not sure if you drive your 'vette year-round, but I park mine for six months. It's as simple as a phone call for me. They call it a "withdrawal from use" policy. I can even pull it out for one day and put it back in. I'm paying $560.00 a year for full coverage on my FRC. Granted, I have a home, another car, college fund for the kid, etc., with them. But that's still a good price in my opinion. Try the "big names." I think you'll see they're competetive...
I'm 34 with a clean driving record and a few other vehicles (multi-car discount) with ERIE INS. I pay $410 a year on an 04 but in the north-east its parked Dec-Feb.
Depends on how old you are but AARP has great rates with Hartford.
The AARP quote didn't even come close to the price I am paying with State Farm. Made me wonder if the Hartford was giving AARP members a discount or just paying a fee to the organization.

i don't like the repairs that progressive will pay for from a body shop.... I used to work for dealerships (sevice) i saw the body side also... i saw how the different insurance companies have repairs done on vehicles...
I have State Farm.... just from what I saw happen with claims in body shops they always took care of business....
USAA is also great, but from what I understand, you have to have served or had family that did to get their ins.
(USAA would just total anything that was questionable)

They worked for me. I pay @ $1,200 per year for full coverage on four cars, two of which are Corvettes.

I had Progressive. My wife and I had perfect records and they kept jacking up the rates every 6 months. We never had any claims so I don't know how they are.
We are both over 50. :o We went with AARP insurance thru Hartford and saved about $500 per year on our 3 cars.
