I was asked why I would name my handle "CRASH" Racing.
Well, I'm a 32 year old firefighter who is also a Christian. My handle stands for a ministry I started for Christian Car Enthusiasts...
CRASH Racing...A Christ Driven Ministry
CRASH Racing stands for Christian Racers Against Street and Highway Racing
My Mission
To show non-believers that Christian's aren't lame, boring Bible thumpers; we're just like everyone else. My mission is to encourage teenagers and young adults to keep the racing on the track by setting up events on road courses and drag strips.
Being a firefighter, I see a lot of death. Often, the MVA's I respond to are race related. This ministry not only gives me the chance to possibly save somebody's life (literally and eternally) for the future, but let's me enjoy an enthusiam I have with fellow enthusiasts.
This IS NOT for Christian's ONLY.
If there are any road racers, auto-x or drag racers in the DFW area interested in this ministry, I welcome the patronage.

Yes. ANY racing in an uncontrolled environment is wrong and dangerous. One time, while responding to a call, we were turned around by the first arriving units (didn't require a second alarm). On our way back, we were moving along at 3am on HWY 67 here in Glen Rose. We were only going 60 mph and out of nowhere comes a pickup truck from a side street. We reacted quick enough to avoid a collision. You see, he figured, "it's 3am, no one is on the road but me so I don't have to stop for the stop sign before entering the highway". Now, replace our fire engine going 60 mph with a Corvette going 100 mph. You would have had no time to react and even if you did swerve to miss him, you'd be carrying too much speed not to lose control. That's why they are called accidents. You don't mean fro them to happen. At least on a track, if you put it into the wall, you're less likely to injure someone else, and even if you need injure yourself, there are EMS staffing at the track.
seriously? are people really asking you that, or did you just want everyone to know what it meant?
Seriously? Did you really ask me if I am lying? I was asked so I thought it would be a good way to answer and expose the ministry. But I DO want people to know that there are ministries out there that involve "cooler" events.
Of course I am not biased (check my handle: Crash94536).
My nickname came from a good friend of mine, he claims that I earned it. Within a one month time span I "crashed" all of the following; two RC aircraft, one motorcycle and my hang glider twice (I walked away each time).
