Rule of thumb is usually N/A motor - TR55 and forced induction/nitrous motor - TR6 until you have some heavy hitter horsepower where you would need to go to a colder plug.

NGK TR55's are good plugs. You might also want to consider the AC Delco Iridiums - good plugs too.
