1998 corvette
Need Help
Just replaced my stock cam with a more aggressive gm cam in my
98 corvette.
Keep getting a rattle sound from one of the pulleys at low idle
after installation.
Thought it was coming from air in the power steering pump.
We took pump back off and clean all veins and rebled system.
Still making rattle at low idle.
Do I need to add a adjustible tensioner?

Do you have an automotove stethescope(sp)? Are you sure its from a pulley/idler? My HVAC compressor started having a rattle that ended up being the compressor itself. Try turning the HVAC on an off and see if the rattle changes.

Re-torque all tensioner bolts. If that doesn't work, take the top belt off to see if the rattle stops. If not, take the bottom belt off next. This will help you isolate where the noise is coming from.

Need Help finding a alternator decoupler for a 98 corvette.
After installing bigger cam started getting low idle belt vibration.
After researching found out gm changed alternators in 2001
because of this problem.
