I recently had my battery disconnected to send out the EBCM to ABSFixer and replace the driver's side plastic headlight gear. When all was reinstalled the headlights went up and down simultaneously and the ABS and traction control warning lights were no longer lit on the dash. When I thought all was well and I had successfully completed both repairs, I looked at the HUD and found the gas gauge didn't match the analog gas guage (car has a hair under a full tank HUD reads half a tank). The oil lamp indicator is also displayed in the HUD but oil pressure guage seems normal and oil level is OK. Is this something that needs to be reset since the battery was disconnected for about 3 weeks or do I have a new issue to deal with. 2002 C5 coupe, 29K on clock?

If the little Oil lamp is displayed then you are on the oil pressure "page". Use the "page" button to scroll through to the gas guage page. You can set the HUD to display gas level (little gas pump), oil pressure (little oil lamp). engine temp (little thermometer). Check your owners manual.

Thanks, I'll check it. Never thought of that since I always leave it on fuel guage. Haven't played with the different screens since the car was new. I suppose disconnecting the battery caused it to switch itself. Just wasn't looking forward to another unexpected C5 gremlin. Also have the rocking driver's seat but so far it's tolerable. Saving the brass gear for the pasenger headlight for that inevitable time. Thought of doing both at the same time but since the driver's side was so "enjoyable" to fix I thought I'd wait until it was absolutely necessary.
