Default Ruff Racing Wheels (?'s)

Well I hadn't planned on getting rims just yet but thought this was too good of a deal. I got Ruff Racing rims 19x8.5 (F) and 20x10 (R), black w/ the chrome lip. My questions are what sizes do I need, I was thinking 255, 35 in the front and 295, 30 in the back. Also, for those of you who have the wheels could you post some pics and did you have any fitment issues (like the front rims sticking out or hitting the calipers). Thanks in advance!!

I shoulda pulled the trigger on these, waited too long. You got a great deal!
I researched tire sizes on these for the past 2 days. The best I came up with are 265/35/19 front, 295/30/20 in the back.
Post up some pics when you get them installed man.

I second the fact that you got one hell of a deal on those wheels. They are sweeeet!
I had no fitment issues , but then mine are 18/19
Post some pics when you get them mounted.
What color car are they going on ?

Congrats. Man you beat me to it. I was researching tire sizes and prices myself.

265 - 40 - 19 295 - 35 - 20 That is what I was looking at in Continentals. Not sure if I like the name brand though. Good luck and post some pics when mounted.

My setup:

Wheels:
Ruff 280's 19/20 38mm/48mm offsets (shaved)
Vredestein 265-30-19's in the front.
Vredestein 295-25-20's in the rear.

Brakes:
Calipers - sprayed with Rustoleum Sunrise Red
Caliper Brackets - sprayed with Rustoleum gloss black.
Rotors - Brake Design Inc. cross-drilled only, zinc plated, then shot with Rustoleum aluminum paint on fins, bells, backs.

Lowering:
Front - Bolts completely out with about 1/4" of rubber sitting on the a-arm.
Rear - Lowered all the way with cut bushings
Shocks - Stock till I find some bilsteins, however even stock getting zero bottom out with pretty good travel.

Default Just fitted 19" & 20" Ruff racing

fronts are 255/35/19 and rears are 285/30/20, 295 are not available here in OZ, at least not from Kumho, had issues with Fedex delivering the 20" both damaged, VQ fixed it all pronto and it wasn't their fault, thanks again guys, only set in Australia. love em

Another option for you in a 19 x 8.5 and 20 x 10

these ar MRR Gt5
I sold these to a customer who had no issues with htem clearing the C6 brakes as well.

They are super nice wheels in person and pics do not do them justice.

Another options in black centers would be these
in 18 19 and not many left in 20 x 10
Let me know if these interest you and i can let you know sizes and pricing. 1150.00 and down a set depending on your size

Dennis

Here are my R281's (19,20). the tires I am currently running are KDWII:
front: 255 35ZR19
rear: 285 30ZR20

No issues with fitment but would suggest to go wider in the rear, either a 295 or 305 which I am planning to with in the near future...

hope this helps

and here they are repainted to match the new Z (this pic sucks, car looks totally different now )

At work right now so I can't see the pics. So, if I went a 305 would 255 in the front be too much of a stagger?

This is a sideways question on this post, but a question for you guys running such short sidewalls on large rims. How has this changed the ride quality? Did it make it any harsher? Do you not care as much about how it rides if it looks really hot? I do agree that those sizes and wheels look excellent, all of them! I would be afrais of ruining my ride quality.

Interested in hearing your responses.

Ride quality sucks! Plus these rims are so heavy it feels like your towing an anchor.

On my car the 265s rub the wheel well. I was told by a vendor of Ruff that you need 255s to fit.

Is that a joke? You can't compare 2 rims when you are going from runflats to nonrunflats at the same time. Its quite simple. The larger the rim the crappier the ride quality. The fact that these rims are boat anchors doesn't help either.

the reason im only gonna go wider in the rears is because of the offset of the wheels. They sit at where i want them in the fronts, meaning pretty flush with the fender but the rears I would like to stick out more. and dont be afraid of ruuning a 300+ series tire on a 10'' wheel. I had a c4 which I had 315's on a 9.5 for 5+ years and had no issues.
