Borla straight pipes
Do many people run these these anymore? I just took mine off and went back to stock mufflers because it was so loud.
I even had a cop say something to me about it because of the noise. It may be because I don't have cats and have LTs. I was thinking of putting them on the auction site but haven't decided if I should just keep them or what. Is there any market for this setup or do most people just run the stingers and other systems with mufflers? I honestly haven't ever seen a vette with borla straights other than mine.

?????? Sound is somethin that is very subjective! I am running Kooks LTs through stock cats(soon to be removed) and then out through a Borla XR-1.
I am going to get rid of the Cats for two reasons, the car is not loud enough for my taste, and to pick up an 5-8 additional HP.

On my 04 Z I had LT's,x-pipe, and hi-flows with the stock ti's and it was nice, a little throaty but mellow at idle and nice at wot. I just installed straight pipes and it is loud. This is not a daily driver because if it was I would never do these, they would have came right off. I love them just not daily, alot of drone at certain rpm's and they get alot of attention but I love it. It sort of reminds me of a big block vette.

I just sold a set that we had in stock at Xtreme to a customer for his '00 FRC. He was happy with them - personally I didn't care for the sound or the drone. But this is why there are so many choices.....imagine how boring life with a Corvette would be if they all sounded and looked the same! We might as well be driving a Prius!

Yea I really like the sound from the outside of the car but the drone was just horrible. My wife and I went on a 400 mile trip and the drone was so bad inside that we couldn't even talk, not sure if that was so bad or not but ya get the point.
