What is wrong with the old ones?? If the mirror is falling away from the visor, you can
fix that..

Here is a good GM parts house.. http://www.gmpartshouse.com/

Yes you can buy them as individuals from dealer service or online gm parts retailers.

Consider getting a new set of the parts that holds them secured. They wear over time and it takes just a few minutes to install new ones. What a difference in grip. They are only a few dollars each.

If they have the droopy-ear syndrome or just don't look good, you can get them recovered.

I had both of mine done after installing the Homelink for about $100. All new fabric and inside stuff.

There are some instructions out there somewhere...

I basically -
* Flip the sunvisor down and disconnect it from the "inner" snap location.
* Wrapped some electrical tape around the post near the 90 degree bend.
* Used small screw driver pressed into the "Tab" of the housing with one hand.
* Using the other hand, move the sunvisor "Outwards" (towards the side windows) watching the tabbed housing. The arm of the sunvisor provides the rotational force to dislodge the housing.
* Gently fish out the connector for the vanity lights.

I hope this helps.

I had to take my visors off this week. Driver's side came off easily, but the passenger side was impossible. I destroyed the plastic piece with the tab in the process. Does anyone know if this one piece is replaceable or do I have to buy a whole new visor?

Yes you can buy new lock rings. Check with your GM dealer or GM online retailer.

Check out the Parts for Sale Forum. I see new ones pop up there from time to time.
