Default Time to get "STRESSED" again!?

Well slowly the roads are opening up...snow and ice melting and leaving in its wake a poor excuse for a road! Holes, craters and schrapnel laying about is enough to keep ones Vett in the garage permanently!! Now tell me guys am I the only owner stressed out with these roads, whats a guy to do (besides antidepressants), surly I am not the only one experiencing this annual disaster. Living up in the great white North has many drawbacks when dealing with crappy roads and an over abundance of eager vandals ready to key your pride at any opportunity. How do you deal with it....right now while dreaming about getting the Vette out, I go into a cold sweat!!!Suggestions PLEASE!

ps.great forum, enjoying it very much. Rob

About all you can do is just be as observant and careful as you can. You know what the roads are like, so take it easy and avoid as many potholes as you can. Good luck - hope the road department helps you out and fills in the holes quickly.

Keep your head up and eyes on the road

Go out in your other ride or a friends and scout the roads and find a good area to drive, as far as vandals go just try to park anywhere near other nice cars whenever you go places It's what I do

With our Vette being as low as they are try not to straddle debris but go around it if at all possible

Try to enjoy it and make the best of any situation you are in!

Thanks,Matt

No great suggestions here. It's going to be a tough and extended year this year. Pothole season is just starting, along with plenty of heaving. Add in the extra sand/salt this year, and it's going to be a while before I take mine out.
Annual polish soon, and presto, you have a brand new car every year.
At least trying to kid myself about the bright side.

Brother I hear ya! Living here in PA, we always have the 'spring thaw' and the roads become a minefield. And on top of everything else, I'm really kinda **** about hitting potholes. I don't know if it's just me, but two things make me get really nervous, Driving in the snow and salted roads and potholes. We've haven't had too bad a winter, but I've decided to get a winter beater for next year. I don't know about the great country of Canada, but down here, we seem to have terrible roads anymore. But it's because we drive so much. I realize the states road crews are doing their best, but it seems to be a losing battle.

Why the over abundance of vandals? I have had many great visits to Canada and never thought that my Vette would not be safe if I chose to drive it up there!

I think he was saying the "Holes, craters and schrapnel " are the vandals.

I live in NC Pa in the middle of nowhere. We have had snow on the ground since November and have had a number of ice storms. The roads will be repaired and the Vette will be back on the road in a couple of months.

El original, I took the Vette out last Sunday for an 1 1/2 hours cruise here. All the main roads were clear, and it was -1 C, so no melting snow. Just took my DD and drove around making a route that was safe with no ice or snow.

I can't wait till ALL the snow is gone....

Today it is about 7C, but too much melting snow, and no place to wash the Car afterwards. Hate putting away a dirty Car.

Move to Texas, I did. Nebraska winters were miserable and took forever to get to spring.

This has been a rough winter here too There are so many road cinders, salt, and so many damn potholes that I'll be crawling around until June. You fellows in the south certainly have the advantage over us northerners that it makes me contemplate a relocation around retirement time ahh, but then again I hate the summer heat you have to endure.
