whats wrong with my car???
when i step on my brake pedal i hear a whinning sound radio level drops. and Service ABS and traction system lights come on dash and radio lihts flicker

Are the brakes working OK?
If so, then I would start checking connections at battery and grounds. Just start taking connectors off and cleaning them all up real nice-nice. Look all around car and do as many as you can find. Bad grounds can cause a lot of strange electrical gremlins.

The radio volume is going down because you the have the volume speed control thing enabled. See that 4-position dial beneath the volume ****? Turn it CCW all the way. I hate that feature personally.
Pull the codes and post them up. You probably have a bad ground or loose connection.
