I found a 03 black Z06 with 123K on the clock. Outside is clean, orig paint. The inside needs driver seat recovered and the abs light is on. Price is 14K. What do you think?
Sounds like normal wear on a daily driver Z. That could be a great deal or it could backfire...if it was local i would be checking it out. Check for signs of abuse. I can't see a new seat skin and fix the ABS light costing over $1000. I would say $14k Z06 is a pretty good deal.

I agree with rustyguns....ls1 motors will last a while. What would worry me is all the supporting hardware on the C5. Computers, sensors etc aren't designed to last nearly as long. I'd wait for the extra cash and buy a newer/lesser mileage car.

^^That is a lot of miles, but what kind of miles were they? Easy highway miles are not very hard on a car.
How many owners? Age of clutch (has it been replaced?). Put it on a lift and look underneath.
a new motor would run you about $5,000.00.and the one in the car now will probably get you to 160,000 miles without a problem.that would still be under $21,000 and you should get a year or more before it fails.the seat and the abs light will most likely be cheap to fix.i would go for it.i know someone who had over 160 on his running low 10's with aps turbos on it.ever hear of anger management racing?
drove that one today--seems decent--rough and may have been wrecked in the front and side as there was paint peeling on the passenger door and the hood did not line up right. Sounded a little rough as well but decent
Wait it out, there's a lot of great deals if you search...especially in FL - Ive seen a TR 50K mile 01Z, perfect condition for $16,000 - and an EB 50K miles 02Z for $18,000 - both in FL.
