On each windshield post appears to be a leather covered foam piece that runs from top of post down to the side of the dash-The car I am looking at has a small rip in the one on the LH side . Is that part replaceable or just a repair that will have to be done? I don't have a picture of it , but the part is very visible in most all vert pictures I see-
TraceZ-You've sure made me feel better! I appreciate your response-Dale
No problem. One of mine has a 1/8" cut in it right at the top and I was thinking about replacing it. It was hardly noticable to begin with, so i just hit it with a black sharpie to make it disapear. As a result I had my eyes open for them at Bloomington last year and saw several nice ones for $30 in the swapmeet boothes.
I looked the car in my photo over ( I bought it) and the only flaw on the car-seriously- was that cut on the A pillar trim-no paint chips- nicks-flawless-except for that cut-You brightened my day-I've worried about that cut since day one!

THAT'S FUNNY,i HAVE A SMALL CUT IN MY DRIVERS SIDE AND WAS WONDERING THE SAME THING.
Does the door weather strip seal go over or under the A pillar pad once it is installed. I have looked a interior photos on the internet and found them both ways. Dealer said their parts pictures are unclear. Mine had the passenger side over and the drivers side under. I have the drivers side off to fix a small cut.

You might also be able to get it fixed from a shop that does vinyl/leather repair. We have a vendor called Dr. Vinyl here that can take a tear in a seat or dash and make it virtually invisible with the repair.
