Default Vararam monkey?

Just received my Vararam CAI. Because of the previous posts I've read on the Vararam's, I guess I wasn't too surprised by the lack of quality put into the assembly of this thing. What sort of monkey put my Vararam together?

It has a total of 6 rivets that secure the fog light ducts and most are loose where I pulled one out by hand. I am either going to send it back or drill all the rivets out and reassemble correctly. Additionally, the cuts made on the ducts look like a hack job to say the least.. It's just that for $300, I expected a little more. IMO, the design of the Vararam is decent but the quality of the assembly is not so great....

sorry the pic is so giant.

I had mine installed so really didn't see the issues you are talking about. However, all I can say is with the performance.

DNDRSN,

does that mean you're sending your vararam back to the monkey who made it?

The rivots are a little loose so that fitment can be adjusted for every C5. They all have differences, and these "slop" in fabrication are for these differences.

Sorry you are having problems! Mine was in good shape and went in with help in about 3 hours including beer breaks. I am not giving it up until the SC goes on sometime in the future!

"A little loose" - is an understatement. Did you look at the rivet picture I posted? Rivets are never to be installed that way! I took that picture before I pulled it out with my finger. also, why would some of the rivets be falling out and some of them tight. 4 of the 6 are more or less falling out. I will post a picture after I drill them out and rivet them correctly.

Also, I am sure some of you are right.....that I will be happy with the performance when it's all installed. It's just the quality of the assembly of the vararam that is disappointing.

I have read more times than not about fitment and the quality of said product having issues.
For the price one would expect more.
