Default Wheel Offset Question

are these wheels possible to fit on a C5 corvette??

Front: 19x8.5 offset 30

Rear: 19x10 offset 37

5x120 bolt pattern

its the offsets that confuse me...so will these fit in anyway or are the offsets too far off? thanks

Evan

Corvette offsets for the C5 are 56mm front and 64mm rear, those look like Mustang offsets. The offsets you listed will make the wheels stick out not to mention that they'll look strange on the car.

Here's a diagram that might help you understand the terminology...

Backspace (or Rear Spacing): The distance from the extreme back edge of the rim to the mounting surface.
Offset: The distance from the centerline of the wheel to the face of the mounting surface of the wheel.
Pitch Center Diameter: Bolt Pattern
X Factor: Caliper Clearance

Both front and rear wheels will stick out of the fenders about 1/2" in those width/offsets.

Not unsafe...just in most people's eyes, they won't appear to fit the car very well.

Most prefer to keep the wheels/tires tucked within the fenders.
1/2" out isn't much, and you might be happy with that look - some are.

I'm just telling you how they'll fit the car, since that's what you asked.

They wouldn't be unsafe but they could possibly be illegal to run that way. Some places it's illegal to have the tires stick out past the fenders. This isn't enforced very often and usually it the guys running 4 wheelers with big tires sticking out that get nailed for this.
