Default C5 Automatic Electronic Dual Climate Control System no display

hi,

I have a 2002 vette and nothing is being displayed by the Automatic Electronic Dual Climate Control System. Does the system need replacement and if so would you know the approximate cost to fix?

thanks

We offer the Dim Display Fix and while you are at it you might as well upgrade to LEDs (Dim Display is fixed with purchase of LED mod to your HVAC)

yes, it seems to work, but when I tried the AC that didn't seem to work. I just bought this car.

The AC not functioning is probably a seperate issue... It could have been too cold outside for it to turn on. Please fill out your profile so we know where you live, many factors affect these cars and your environment is one of them.

A very dim display is a common fixable problem.
Start the car at night and see if there is any light coming from the display.
Often in ambient daylight the dim display cannot be seen.

I started the car tonight and tried changing the temp and going from auto to manual but nothing at all is displayed, though the heat does work. It very well may be the display is just burned out. I appreciate everyones help on this, maybe I should just look into the fix it very well my solve my problems. Since I'm a new vette owner I find this forum very helpful.

Thanks for the tip on the AC, yes it is cold up here and that may be why it doesn't come on, the owner of the car assured me that it did work last summer.

Try the fix linked in post #2...
It is easy and will probably fix your problems. If there are other issues going on, nothing lost.
