wheels/tires combo...help pls
Hi,
I am new to the forum, I registered a while ago but have never posted till now. My father owns a 99 vette and I own a 02 z28.
His car needs new rims/tires and I need a little help if thats ok.
He wants to get these rims which are a deep dish y2k which are 17x9.5 fronts and 18x10.5 rears.

My concern is that with the 1 inch increase in the front, will there be any problems with turning/fitment?
His car may or may not be lowered as he bought it used and has no idea. I know that the ride is pretty stiff compared to my z28.
I believe the originals are 17x8.5 fronts 18x9.5 rears(the wagon wheels)
My second question is what size tires will fit those rims best. Is a 255/40/17 best for the front or a 275/40/17? Not sure what is best for the front. For the rear he wants a 295/35/18. Is the 35 ok for the sidewall? or does it need to be a 30 or 40?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
