"ABS ACTIVE" while slowing at toll booth?
Hi all. Experienced "ABS Active" message briefly as I slowed to an EZ Pass Toll Both (NJ Turnpike). Admittedly, it was pretty bumpy as I approached the booth, about 40 degrees out. Was the ABS functioning as it should have? Felt the brake pedal pulsate, etc. Just wondering if it was the bumps, maybe some oil on the road, an all too aggressive braking session (though I personally don't think so)?? Anyone experience this a lot?

Sounds normal. As you were going over the bumps one or more tires had reduced grip with the pavement which caused it/them to slide just a little and the ABS counteracted the problem so you didn't lose control. It did just what it was designed to do. It could be just one bounce that activates the ABS for just an instant. It works hundreds of times faster than your mind/body can react to something.
