Yes, but I am saying that below 13 is bad, not 14. I started repairing cars in 1970. Not much has changed since then. Lots of new technology, but the basics are still the same. Batteries have hardly changed at all since 1970. They still need to be charged at a sufficient rate..........

Oops, sorry I misread your first post. I still think that there should be some kind of DIC readout if the alternator was the problem. I don't know if the Yellow Top being a deep cycle battery would make a difference. I know their website says it doesn't discharge as fast and that may mean the alternator doesn't continue to charge as a reg battery would require. Only a thought.
Another thought would be to message DeeGee. I know he has a yellow top in his C5 and could tell you how the alternator acts in his.
3rd idea would be to take it to someplace that can put a load test on the battery and well as test the alternator. Most places do this for free.

I will get it tested soon. The issue is that the problem happened before and after the replacement of the battery.
