I bought some of these at Lowe's today. $0.68 for a pair of them. You will find them in the isle with all the screws/nails/etc. I had to ask someone and found that they are in one of the "pullout" drawers with other specialty screws.

Thanks for the ideas!

There's a 50 pack for $8 at the auction site. Ordered one today.

Anyone know the screw size, or thread pitch? Trying to replace my tail lights today and the old screws are so rusted that I'm having trouble backing them out. One of them just turns and doesn't back out at all. I'm going to replace them with stainless.

I had the same problem. My friend told me to clean the screws and area with HP. It worked!

Check your medicine cabinet.

I got it sorted out. I went to Lowes and bought some #10 - 1 1/2" stainless philips head screws and some of those black plastic snap covers that close over the screw heads. I was able to take a pair of pliers and gently pull outward as I rotated the rusted screws, and fortunately, they backed on out. Got the new Radio Flyer Innovations Halo modded and medium tinted tail lights in place and they look perfect!

Plastic covers will just hide rust, not prevent it. Stainless with the covers and you'll be fine

Got mine at Lowe's. Took 15 minutes to find them but there were a few sizes and they work great.

I don't have rust on my tail light screws because I don't drive my car in the rain.
