It's nice to see that he is willing to convert over from the import crowd. Well done! I don't think he will regret the change. There is nothing else quite like a vette. And if he is handy with a wrench and likes to tinker, the C5 is a great canvas. My hat is off to you for letting him use the basement like that. He will have respect for you for that and possibly think twice about pulling any boneheaded 22 year old guy moves. And I have to carry on the "nice garage" theme that has been going on. Cheers!
Mike
By the way, my daily driver work truck is like the diesel that ate his lunch. It's pretty amazing what you can pull out of a diesel with a few mods and tweaks. The vette is faster overall, but the truck can put down better 60' times at the drag strip. The benefit of having all four wheels grabbing along with a HUGE turbo. Don't get me wrong, the vette is WAY more fun and WAY faster, but I can understand what he meant about the diesel. Thanks.

My Daily Driver is a 03 F-250 no mods just he hand held tuner
Fully built B18C1 with a Full Race Stage 2 GTAC kit (GT3071R Turbo). Conservative tune on 93 octane at 18lbs of boost was 431whp/315 ft lbs. It idles and drives like stock until it hits boost.
No stickers, no big wing or annoying exhaust. All go, very little show.
I pay my respects to all forms of horsepower, it's all about your specific passion.
Ha! That's an EK hatch...That's my DD/winter beater! Except mine has a whopping 106hp...And, as others have mentined, nice basement! It's also nice of you to let him use it...
