Default corbeau cr1 or a4...???!!!???

its a hard decision. i dont know which one to get. they both look nice and money is a KEY factor in this. is it worth the extra 200 for the cr1. and does the black cloth look purple to anyone? im looking at pictures on google and they seem to have a purple tint to them.

Mine look black to me.

The CR1's have a wider base, and there has always been talk, but not definitive that the CR1's don't fit the C5, because of the wider base. But, then I hear they do...so I really don't know.

Anyway, I've had mine for almost 5 years now. Still like them.

I was told the CR1's don't fit so I went with leather A4's.

I just put A4's in mine. I don't see anything wider going in.

I have the A4 and I love them. Night and day from the stock base or sport seats. These things make you one with the road.

I'm a 32" but I think people say 34" or so. I had some bigger guys sit in mine a few weeks ago and at 36" They were pretty snug. If you've got broad shoulders they may not be for you either.

is there a shoulder width rating on these? Or does anyone with broad shoulders have experience with these? I'm 6'3 (ever so slightly under 6'3) and I have fairly broad shoulders and a 38ish waist. Really wanting to get these. Are their other options that are a bit wider that will fit? I think based off what I've read, you can't really go much wider. For reference, I had an 06 350z and the stock seats were much better than my c6. I fit those just fine.

I have fairly broad shoulders, and I can honestly say I don't exactly "fit" in them like a bigger/broader seat would. I too am a 38" waist, and I squeeze into it, albeit not like a smaller person would. Before the A4's, I had corbeau fx1 pros. They were definitely more snug around the hips/legs but the wing for shoulders was much better.

I would definitely try and sit in some if you can.

A4's in the suede here. If you race the car and have to wear a helmet get the 1in shaved bottom. Helps alot!!.
