I got a DIC question
When hammering on my car I happen to glance down at the DIC message area and just see a message disappear. I can't ever catch what it says because I'm too busy watching 100 other things. I suspect it's a warning that I'm killing my car or something like that. RPM warning? Shift warning?

If it were something really serious, I would think that your check engine light/check gauges warning would come on. Could be the traction control, active handling, etc.
Do our cars have that sump pump thing to keep oil moving on hard turns or is that the C6's?
It's called a dry sump system which is an external oil pump with a remote oil reservoir and is not affected by turning forces. Our oil pumps are in the oil pan. Don't know enough about these cars to say for sure but they may have a baffle in the oil pan to curtail some of this. You can install an accusump which maintains a constant oil level in a wet sump system under hard cornering.
I have one of those in my dragcar. Just installed it this Winter and it really keeps the oil psi up in the shutdown (very hard braking). If installed in a Vette, where is a good location and would you use the 1.5 quart or the 3 quart version?
Like sprk33 says................drive it like ya stole it! LMAO! Turn that sissy traction control off and drive that bad boy!

My only experience with one of these was in a roundy-round car. It was a 3 qt. Moroso and mounted on the floor to the left of the seat. I would think the smaller one for a street car would do the job. Not sure where the best place to mount would be but I have read threads on here where other Forum members run them. Maybe start a new thread since we seem to have hijacked this one.

Thanks all. I keep trying to tell myself to pay attention next time but I'm busy. I didn't think about the traction control and it makes sense because this time I got airbourne crossing an intersection under the yellow caution light.

Just reach down and press the button to turn it off if you are concerned about it. Then, when your car does get away from you, it will just continue to get away from you and you won't be distracted by the annoying message and sudden application of no power / brakes
