Default check engine light

my check engine light came on today. i checked all my guages and temps. looked under the hood all my fluid levels are fine. my car doesnt run any different or making any funny noises. i checked the manual and all it says is that it could be emmittion related. i have disconnected the positive on the battery but i am going to let it sit for a while. my father had the same thing happen on his 98 coupe and ended up with nothing wrong. i dont know how to look up the codes on the DIC. does any one know how and does anyone know the codes for an 2003 coupe? please help

I dont have my directions handy, but you can always go to auto zone and have them check your codes for free. Im sure other places do it for free, but I know they do for sure.

i believe to pull codes turn key to on and press/hold "options" and while you are holding hit the "fuel" button 4 times.

someone correct me if im wrong. i can do it in the car, muscle memory i guess cause i cant remember off the top of my head.

Default here are my codes

i reconnected my battery and checked the codes. my check engine light had gone off. there were no current codes only codes in my history. after that i drove around for about 20 mins and checked the codes again and found a current code:

10 PCM Powertrain Control Module
P1416 AIR System bank 2-B CURRENT

A0 LDCM Left Door Control module
B2284 Battery #2 Fault DCM-LEFT HISTORY
B2282 Battery #1 Fault DCM-LEFT HISTORY
U1064 Loss Of Communication with DCM HISTORY

A1 RDCM Right Door Control Module
B2263 Horizontal Position Sensor Fit DCM-R HISTORY
B2265 Horizontal Position Sensor Fault DCM-R HISTORY
B2285 Battery #2 Fault DCM-RIGHT HISTORY
B2283 Battery #1 Fault DCM-RIGHT HISTORY
U1064 Loss Of Communication with DCM HISTORY

can any one tell me what the current code that i have means? i have cross referenced all the codes with a few different code listings. one particular list said that it was a secondary air injection system. let me know if i need to take the vette in and have this problem fixed. any help would be greatly appreciated.

According to the repair manual....

The AIR pump lowers tail pipe emissions on start -up. The PCM monitors the heated Oxygen sensors to diagnose the AIR system. during the AIR test the AIR pump os activated during closed loop operation. The PCM monitors Oxygen sensor voltage and short term fuel trim for both banks ofthe engine.
P1416 means the right bank sensor did not properly respond and the right bank AIR system is inoperative.....
....

translation... could be a kinked or leaky hose, bad gasket, bad check valve or carbon build-up in exhaust manifold

Someone in the tech section posted about cleaning those AIR valves. It might have been either Bill Dearborn or Bill Curlee.
