The two weeks that there was snow on the unplowed roads in front of my house killed me. I was going through serious withdrawl. I went ahead and had the "snow tires" put on that the previous owner had brought to me "just in case" we get snow again

They actually grip quite well on the cold streets too

It was 19 degrees here in Liberal KS last night, and I still drove mine to the club hehe.

It's snowing like crazy here again in Northern Illinois . . . again. I'm not even going to think about taking my car out of storage until the second or third week of April.

I had the C5 out twice this week. The tires were kinda slippery with the low temps. It is so much different!

When it's warm you hafta work to make the Vredsteins spin.

Today back to snow on the ground..... Car covers are in order once again.....

87 Ragtop is running the "special" snow tires sized for the C5. Back when I was in college, I had a set of those Eagle M+S on seperate wheels for winter use, and was very pleased with their performance.

However, special tires or not, my C5 is tucked in my garage until spring. I admire you guys who have the courage to drive your C5's in the slippery stuff... I think there are too many people out there for me to avoid them when they act stupid. It's tough enough to do that in the warmer months!

450rwhp + 373's + 19" rear tires = 0 traction in 1-3 gear!!!
I had fun, got some withdraw bugs out. Only had 2 people try to race me, a pos cavalier and an S10!! It never fails!!
It was good to get it out and stretch the legs, now it's back in the garage for a round of late winter/early spring mods that's going to have me down for a little while!!!
