Default Torque on Bilsteins

For those of you that have installed them..... How tight should I get that center nut on the rears at the top of the shock? The nut has the nylon insert to keep it tight and the tighter you go the more you compress the rubber bushings. Didn't see a thing about it in the instructions.

Thanks in advance

Are you using this install guide: http://fuzzydiceracing.com/test.htm ?

I believe he lists it. Not sure if it's the same as the brand you are installing.

Not really sure, but the front nut on stock shocks with a similar bushing set up goes to 19 lb ft. Maybe a guide?

That's what I'm using and he does specify torque for the 2 support bracket bolts that are 13mm but not the center nut on the shock shaft itself. Maybe just get it to where the bushings are good and snug w/ maybe 5-6 threads showing on the shock shaft.

Just snug it until the rubber bushings start to compress... don't overdo it and have them squishing out the sides.
