Sticky Rear Hatch

My rear hatch likes to stick when you open it. I usually have to give it a few love taps, or close a door to get it to pop up. Anyone had the same problem? How do you fix it?? Thanks- JOHN

Do a search. Someone sells a "trunk popper" as an easy fix for the problem.

I put one on my 99 FRC and it does work as advertised. Hardes thing was to get the plastic end into the spring.

You can also do the repair: push back the carpet at the tailgate lock and then bend up on the protruding wire that extends from the lock's spring mechanism.
