May be corrosion on the contacts where the wire plugs in to the horns. Clean (both the male and female contacts) with a small piece of emory cloth then use a tiny bit of dielectric grease. There are two horns, together. Probably only the high side is sounding. Had to do this to mine. Works fine now.

Some old lady went thru a stop sign and I had to hit the brakes and horn and I don't think she heard my horn. I was thinking of replacing the stock w/the hella ones. Anyone else replaced the stock horns?
Have you tried tapping the horns lightly with a screwdriver handle while someone is pressing the horn? The diaphrams on the horns get corroded (especially if you don't use 'em very often)...
I believe there are more than one horn also, a high and a low pitch, if one goes out the resulting sound is pretty weak and pathetic.
I someday want to replace my horns with something louder and hopfully with a different sound. I don't want my car to be so ordinary. are there any good replacements out there?
under the front bumper on the passenger side there is a trim panel with some screws remove them and panel and you can reach up there and do what you need to do.
