What's up guys! I'm new to the forum and recently picked up a Speedway White 2003 50th Anniversary C5 with 19900 miles on it. I made the jump from an Infiniti G35 Coupe and all I can say is "Whoa"!! I've always wanted a Corvette and I couldn't miss out on this chance. I look forward to posting with you old pros and maybe meeting some of you in the future.
WELCOME!
Enjoy the ride
Any previous mods done to the Vette by the previous owner?
Let us know and we will help you make that puppy a BEAST

Thanks to all for the welcomes. It's a coupe with no mods by the previous owner. They had a 04 Z06 there with about 10000 more miles for more money. I couldn't pass up the $21,000 price tag for the one I picked up. Plus, that Z06 was down right scary when I drove it. I saw many tickets flash before my eyes, so I decided against that beast. Pics to come soon.
Congrats! Sounds like a nice one. I toured the Corvette plant several times while the 2003 model year was being produced. It was rare to see a White one (I really considered ordering a white one too).
In looking over the production figures for 2003, it looks like there were only 371 white coupes (out of 12,812 total coupes built that year) and only 308 verts in white (out of 14,022 total verts that year). Since there were no Z06's in white that year, the total white Corvette production in that year was 679 for about 2% of the total (35,469 total Vette's). The next lowest production color for 2003 was Quicksilver Metallic (2,387 total vettes in this color).
Congrats and welcome. I too have a 50th anniversary year C5. Jet black hatchback coupe with just under 20K on the odometer. Previously was rebuilding a ’79 -C3- and running around in a late 80s RX-7. Although I really enjoyed both, the C-5 is by far my all around favorite, and should remain so for a long and enjoyable time.

Thanks! That's a lot of good info. I was stationed at Moody from 99-02 so I know the Valdosta area well.
Thanks for your service as well. I went to college here then moved to Tallahassee for about five years. Moved back in 1999 and have been here since. We formed a Corvette club here in 2003 and have been trying to grow it ever since. We have a lot of members from Moody as you can imagine.
Hope you enjoy the Vette! Don't forget to complete your profile so folks will know where you are. Might help with locating members in your area. Great way to meet some great people.

Thanks, I keep that in mind. I'll have to get used to the power I have now first. I tell you, the G35 feels like it had the horsepower of a stretched Yugo limo compared to this. As far as the search engine, I read enough flaming posts over on the G35 forum to learn my lesson to search before asking. I really appreciate the thanks for my service. I just see it as my duty, so I never look for thanks, but it's always appreciated! You guys are awesome compared to the G35 forum.
