diablosport predator re-flash?
a friend gave me a U7198 after he bought a C6 and got rid of his C5. unfortunately, the tuner is still locked to his old car....
i've checked the diablosport website for info on re-flashing the tuner - none there. i believe i read on this forum that they will do it for a fee.
anyone done this? how much did it cost you?

Well.... that situation has changed recently. The following was posted by one of the diablosport mods in January, "we no longer will unlock any locked predator that was bought used... period... new rules..."
Let me throw a couple of BUTs in there.
BUT 1: A predator must be a revision of 9r01 or higher in order to be internet updateable. If your tool displays a revision of 1.XX or 2.XX it can not be updated without a return trip to DiabloSport. For $99 you send it in for the update. If the unit is locked when they receive it, they charge an additional $49 to unlock it.
BUT 2: If your friend has proof of original purchase which can be sent to DiabloSport, they apparently can help him unlock it..... usually a $99 fee.
I believe (BUT 1) is the best option if your revision is out of date. The update allows internet updates, 5 extra storage spots for tunes, and data logging.
