I just purchased a 2001 Z06 yesterday and it was Canadian built, it has a, Engine Block Heater that you would plug into a 110 outlet to heat the side of the block. Well I live in Texas and don't think I will be needing that. Does anyone know how to remove them or is it not worth bothering with? Thanks.

Not worth bothering! Especially if it's in a freeze plug area.
I've had a lot diesel engines over the years with heaters, and never had a problem with them.
Just tie up the cord and attach it to something near by.
A block heater and a vette don't make sense to me, but if it's there I'd just leave it alone.

, but it does make sense when its parked in a non-heated garage in the Canadian north.
I've had a number of cars with factory installed block heaters. Never had a problem and they sure came in nice if they ever sat outside in below zero weather. Who knows-----the next owner may find it nice.
