when doing a freeway run do you keep your headlights up or down at night when the freeway is well lit? iv seen some people do it with them down for aerodynamic reasons. And would it make much of a difference at all at higher speeds?

I would keep them up, even if you can see where you're going, problem is others may not see you coming. It's a lot easier to see incoming headlights at night, compared to none.
I have gotten 32.7 MPG on the highway at night with the headlights up... isn't that good enough?? One "no headlights" ticket will offset 10 years of gas mileage savings.
On a somewhat related note, does anyone know what the drag coefficient change is with the lights up?
Freeway run? Sounds like a one-way trip to a threadlock to me. But to answer the question, if it's bright outside the headlights are not on. If it's dark, I use them.

speechless, this one does it...its even better then the guy running out of gas because he passed out in his car. SCARY thing is this guy is probably legally allowed to drive a 3000 pound automobile.
