strange headlight problem???

strange headlight problem???
Driving down the road, headlight beam seem to get dim, then bright. I pull over and driver's side headlight is dimmer then the passenger's side. I replace the driver's side bulbs. Doesn't help. Anyone had a similar problem? Is there probably a loose connection or bad ground?

My 98 has the same thing on just the driver side headlight - does it for a few minutes,then stays on fine. (just started doing it tonight)
There's a couple of ground points on the top of the frame toward the front,I'm going to check them out tomorrow after work,I'll let you know if it does any good ,or if I find anything else that might be causing the problem.

The connectors in the ground terminals corrode. Bill Curlee has it in his sticky on electrical problems, look here:

I agree with everyone about the grounds but if they turn out to be good, the only other components are the headlamp switch itself and the headlamp controller.
