I bought FatMommas when I first got my vert, because of the incline of my driveway. I prefer FatMommas just because they are symetrical, but I believe FatDaddys will work just as good...................But they do work, got rid of that scraping sound.

Plus one for the "Mommas". I literally RIDE on these when entering the street from my driveway, and like the fact that the Mommas have 4 wheels, one on either side of the radiator cradle rather than the Daddys one wheel mounted on one side of the cradle.

We get that question a lot.

If you encounter a lot of obstacles like speed bumps and take them head on, than the FattMammas work great

If you have a lot of inclines that you take at an angle, the FattDaddys work best. The FattDaddys are stronger because of the Rig

It is pretty much 50/50 on over all sales...

Peace

Chip,
What exactly do you mean by saying the FattDaddys work better on inclines because of the rig? Up to this point I was leaning toward the FattMommas because of the double wheels. Mainly I scrape whenever I leave my driveway, at the best angle I can manage. Occassionally somewhere else. What is this "rig" you mention?

The FatDaddy sits in a 1/4" rolled steel bracket/housing or "rig"

Peace

I see. What size rig does the FattMomma use? I also see that the FattDaddy uses a grade 5 bolt and the FattMomma a grade 8. Reading the site discriptions, I thought the Mommas were the stronger choice. Thanks for the input Chip.

A grade 8 bolt and a grade 5 bolt have different load capacity depending on length.

The span on the FattDaddys is much less than the FattMammas.
A grade 5 bolt is also less susceptible to shock breakage.

The FattMammas do not sit in any kind of rig

Peace

Sounds like the FattDaddy would be my best choice since I try to always take the occasional obstacle at a slow angle. Do you agree?

FattDaddys will work well for you

Really you can't go wrong with either.

I have had FattDaddys on my car for the last two years
and they have worked flawlessly

BTW I had the FattMammas on for a year before that, and they worked
awesome too

Peace
