So, i waiting on the new tires and rims i ordered and have been calling around tire shops to see who i want to use in mounting them,,, I purchased the new reproduction rims from bob-house of wheels, the new ZR1 wheel!,, anyways,, one of the shops said it takes a "reverse mount" on those,,, is that true? or is it just a normal mount?,, plus should i have the shop road force balance them or not?,,, thanks rj
Be it reverse mount or not- its not that complicated. Just flip the wheel over and proceed as normal. I actually prefer reverse mount wheels on low profile tires because there is less of a chance of the face of the wheel being scratched, since its face down.
As far as the road force- get it. The 9700 is the best balancer we have, in addition to the fact that it will find signifigant imperfections in the tire. I have solved many of my customers ride concerns with it.
