Default Oil Pressure sensor......again

I would post this in Tech, but I can't get Tech to open since the "Big Block" site upgrade yesterday

I replaced my dead Oil Pressure sensor last week with a new brass one. Repair went pretty well.

But now I note that my oil pressures are about 15-20 lbs higher than they used to report at all different RPMs.

I assume that the old sensor was mis reporting up to the point it died and was reporting over 100 psi

So now if I am cruising at about 50-60 MPH I am seeing 47-57 psi oil pressure

Do I have anything to be concerned about ?

Probably not but if you wish to verify, the dealer can do a mechanical oil pressure test at your cost to verify.

I noticed the same thing too. Did you use the Borg Warner part? I just assumed the original sensor was getting inaccurate as it died. I really don't think it's anything to be concerned about.

The other thing I've noticed is the response on this sender is much faster than the stock.
