Yeah yeah, its just another, "I got the Vette out today thread..." but I did and it was absolutely amazing.
I love this car...its just amazing how a car can just make it feel like there is nothing else wrong in your life and just give you that much joy. I only put about 14 miles on it, but I haven't had it out since December 29th.
Well here is to many smiles and miles to come!
For those that still are in hibernation, I sincerely hope you get to get your baby out soon, and for those with daily drivers, I applaud you!
Don't know how you guys who have a real winter, deal with letting your 'vettes sit for months. Due to the rain out here lately, I haven't had my '99 coupe out since Saturday - and I'm jonesing for a cruise. The skies are clearing - maybe later today.
Texas lets us drive/ride all year round, so no matter how ****ty my workday is going to be, I always know that I'm either hopping onto my bike or into my Corvette on the way home
Well I don't think you can safely say winter is ever over in Ohio and it will probably go back to hibernation, but it hit 55 today and that was enough to take off the cover and open the garage door.
Like Group Therapy, it does feel good to let it all out and sharing ones true feelings about ones car, I know I do. Great to hear that you finally got to drive that incredible machine and that it moves us to write or post up on here as I sure love to hear about it all.
If anyone can recall the movie "The Postman" with Kevin Costner (one of my all time favorite movies, tied is Waterworld), there is a character named Ford Lincoln Mercury, he got his name on account that he wanted to " . . . drive cars . . . " that because about everyone in the USA has a car and drives, the thought or even the idea of motoring or driving for pleasure has been lost on the masses. Problem is, they just don't have a Corvette.
