Should it be on?

Hey folks,I have an 02 coupe with the stock Bose radio.Should the LED next to the volume **** be illuminated
when the radio is on?I have never seen it on and I used to have a 98 and I dont remember it on in that one either.Thanks in advance.

Sounds like a theft-lock lamp.

No I don't believe it should be on. You'll probably need
the code from the original owner. I never set it up so no
worries about a code.

I believe that is on when you have the anti-thief for the radio turned on. I don't have it enabled on mine so I'm not sure if it is on all the time or just when the car is shut down.
