I got a set of the 20's from Richard back in Oct. I just swapped one out with him because part of the white LED wouldn't light up or flicker when they did. He said he had 3 come back in a month with the same problem!

Sounds like there is a design flaw to these bulbs. Let us know if you experience the same problem with the 48's, JDM.

i had clear depo's but wanted to tint my stock corners(minus the area for the DRLs) and want to know if they'll be ok in a stock housing and bright still. If they are bright enough still i will for sure get them, especially since I'm going to be adding 6k HID fogs/lows this is how my stockers look...

I just ordered a set of 48's on Saturday. They were shipped today. I will post a pic of them in factory housings if no one else does before they arrive.

Should I be concerned now with the 20's that I just received as part of my switchback package from Richard at Corvette Enhancements?? I prefer not having to pull these out in the next 1-2 years if at all possible. They aren't the easiest things to get to.

Tell me about it! It's so much fun dragging out the ramps, taking out all those screws...add to that, there must have been a mix-up at the warehouse, cause the first replacement I got was a 1157 style, not the 3157. Of course, I didn't pay attention to that until I had the old one out!

Hmmm... FYI, I was able to change my larger OEM DRL bulb out last year from a trick I learned on the forum. Basically, you remove the hood stop bolt in the front near the headlamp and it gives you enough room to reach your arm down there and get to the bulb. I'm not a small guy, either, but it worked and sure beats having to mess with ramps and all of that. My first attempt involved pushing the brake duct out of the way and reaching in through the front, but I actually got my hand stuck in that opening for awhile. Funny now, but "oh CRAP!" at the time...

Ah, I see. I didn't remove the stop bolt when I tried it from the top. How's the best way to make sure you put the stop bolt back at the right level? Mark it with a paint marker or a sharpie?

That brake duct there should be a simple way to get that completely out of the way. It was such a pain when I replaced the corner lenses, couldn't see anything, and had to feel what I was doing.

Naah, there is a nut that is threaded onto the bolt. Just make sure that nut stays in the same position as you remove the bolt and it will be in the same position when you tighten it back down.

I use it in my Hummer but it doesn't last long (5 months or less).
