Backwards,,NO,,but definitely feel kind of stuck in place!! Would love to be doing lots of things,,but can't! Hope you got a reasonable price for it(must have been good enough to sell). Things HAVE to get better,,just when is the question! Hope to see you back in a vet SOON!!
The C5 was sold on Sunday. I never watched anyone else drive it before and it sure looked good driving away but I hated to see it go.
A couple years ago I had a '32 Ford Sedan, a '34 Ford coupe, a '69 Camaro, a '03 HD Road Glide and a Vette. Now they are all gone.
Ever feel like you are going backwards in life?
Sorry to hear. Hopefully you will be back into a Vette soon.
Interestingly, my good friend felt the same way when he sold his C5 a few years ago. He loved the car, however had to sell it and move into a sedan due to family priorities. Although he had many sports cars over the years and I would not consider him a "Vette-only" guy, he did make the same observation about how the car looked as it was being driven away.
Since most of drive our Vettes (C5s) and only see them when we wash or park them, I don't think we appreciate how good they look in motion.
After installing my euro tail lights, I asked my wife to drive the Vette around the block testing the turn lights, brakes, etc. while I followed to make sure everything worked. I remember thinking - "Damn! What a great looking ride!"
Sorry to hear shes gone.. We Americans have proven over and over that we can handle adversity. What we are facing now, is how well we handle prosperity.
