2001 CHEVROLET CORVETTE COUPE! BLACK OVER BLACK LEATHER, AUTOMATIC, HEADS UP DISPLAY, POLISHED WHEELS WITH LIKE NEW TIRES, BOSE STEREO, CD, SPORT MEMORY SEATS, DUAL CLIMATE CONTROL, ALL BOOKS AND KEYS, CARFAX CERTIED! EXCELLENT CONDITION! 72,000 miles.
Before determining a price you need to find out several things: maintenance records, carfax records, test drive, condition of paint, auto or 6 speed, stock or customized and, most importantly, keep your mind on the state of the economy. It's a buyer's market for sure.
Finally, check the forum for what the car is selling for and compare condition. You must test drive the car.
Good luck!
Thanks for all of the input, but I found my answer elsewhere! I am looking at a couple of Vette's locally and I know what I am willing to pay. Both cars I am looking at have free carfax reports. I have looked at the black one up close, but have not driven it... it has 73k on the clock. The red one has some modes, like clear fixed headlights, and some others but I have not looked at it yet....25k on the clock...both at dealers both 01's. I know people are down on the 01 and earlier ls1 cause of the oil control, are there any other problems that I should look for? I know they had problems with battery acid leaking in some models what else? I have been into cars for years and wrench on my 1976 455 Trans Am so I am not a novice mechanic. Anyone?

Carfax means nothing. Damaged cars float right on through without carfax even knowing about it. The pre-'01 LSX engines don't have the oil consumption issues.
alot of miles on the car for me.cant see it being mint.Id lowball them at around 15,000 thats all its worth to me......................And thats after runnig the vin, seeing how many owners, what state was it bought from.....................Check UNDER the carpets to see if it was under water, rusty bolts.Cant trust a carfax a little..................Good luck.ITs a buyers market lots of good cars out there................Dont fall in love with one if the price is not right

Check for leaking differential seals, rocking seats, make sure the emergency brake engages properly (many do not hold the car due to improper adjustment). I've got a buyers checklist if you're interested - just PM me your e-mail address and I'll forward it to you.

I agree with the $17.5K, tops, if its at a dealer.
My 2001 (bought new by me) just turned 40,000, has all you mentioned, plus 6-spd manual and brand new Michelin ZPs. It is certified NOT one of the oil burners (NOT all the 2001s have that problem). The most I would expect to sell it for privately is about $16.5K. If I trade it in, maybe I'd get $14K.
Forgot to mention that I have a trade in that is paid for title in hand. It is a 05 Pontiac G6 GT with 98,000 on the clock, and I also have little cash if need be. I do not want to finance over $9,500 hopefully less.
I purchased a 01' coupe same color and same options except for HUD a couple of weeks ago. It had 38,XXX on it and was in VERY VERY good shape. I gave $17K for it. Not a steel but in my opinion a good enough deal to fly 500 miles away and drive her home!
