I found this ZO6 near me. I went and pulled the carfax its clean. The car was strong, other than alignment issued. The thing that gets me is some panels have been retouched paint wise, and some things dont line, up. Interior is in poor condition. Doe's anyone out here no the story on this car! http://www.laautostar.com/details.as...90226143121579

Not everything makes it on Carfax...especially if it was a do it yourself repair. Things not ligning up is a red flag to me. I'd look elseware fast! Tons out there to choose from now & reasonable. Enjoy the hunt!

How would anyone know what car you're talking about?
There are literally thousands of vettes for sale. If the car has all of the problems that you stated, why would you want it in the first place ?

Sorry i added a link to the car! The reason im looking is because this dealer is willing to give me the money i need/want for my car. I have to get rid of my c4 to step up to zo6 territory. Its a bad time to sell a modded car so was trading it in. This is why i want more info.

Do yourself a favor and take the VIN# over to your local chevy dealer and ask them to run a service history on the car. You might even be able to find out who the previous owner was.
Multiple owners is most scary to me. I would not even mind some body repaint, hey in DC, stuff NEEDS it. People can't drive or park here to save their necks. You said interior is rough. Do you mean seat covers that cost a few hundred or do you mean the dash is cracked, the Dual zone AC is dim and inop, defrost lines are cut from a crappy tint install, water residue (rusty conditions) around the rear seat bolts indicating leaks, smells funny, etc?
Check the clutch fluid. Is it mud or ok? Should tell you something about how its been taken care of. Look at the rear end of the car, any oil issues that are going to cost $$$ to fix. Get him to give a warranty (even if only for the ABS problems these cars have).
If its modded out, with all the go-fasters, you can almost bet it was driven harder than if its all stock. I know thats not 100% true but neither is paintwork being a no-no on a plastic car.
Your money. IMO, that is STRONG money for that car, in that shape, in a recession. I would say 20, maybe 19. Ask yourself, how does THAT car end up at THAT dealership? Auction most likely. Now, why was it at auction. Dealer traded it in on a new car sale, then why didn't they resell it? Just something to think about....good luck.

Sounds like a big red flag to me. There are way too many really nice C5s for sale right now to take a chance on one that is questionable. Trust your gut feelings on this.
Have it checked by someone who knows corvettes, It was probably wrecked at one time and just slapped together for a quick sale. Carfax is not always informed on repairs. Have to do your own research. Keep us posted.
