Default Couple questions

First, anybody have ideas on why I can view pictures on some posts and others come thru with t "x" box? Second, I'm buying new tires for my 2000 vert and was wondering how big a tire can you put on stock rims and does it make any sense? Thaks for your help.

To post pictures here, you have to have the pictures posted on the internet and reference the "link to them". Usually, when you see the "x" it means the link is not working (can be many issues).

Can't help on size, I use OEM Goodyear Runflats. They are, BTW, very wide tires, wider tread than even than C5 ZO6 stock tires (which are 295's). They have very square tread sides.

Tire Rack gives you the recommended wheel width for various size tires. As long as you stay within this width, you will be okay for the tire on the rim (it may not fit under the body). If you go wider than recommended, you may have problems with tire wearing uneven and not get maximum handling.

I agree that usually the reason you can't see the pics is because the link is not correct. Sometimes it is just a typo that causes it to not appear.

Many forum members have gone to the Z06 size tires on stock coupe/vert rims and report no problems. I tend to follow the guidelines set out on sites like the Tire Rack as to what wheel widths work best with each tire size.
