Default Question abut o2 sensors....

I have my car about 1 1/2 years now and haven't had any problems with untill now, the car has heads, cam, breathless cold air, LG long tubes, high flow cats, x-pipe, bassani mufflers, and of coarse tuned all before I bought it. The car started throwing the slow response code for the o2. Well im trying to change them out, and I noticed that they had AC Delco o2's in it but with different connectors, a flat 4 pin style intsead of the usual squared style, which it still has also they just spliced into. Now the parts store carries that part # (AFS 75), question is Why did they change them? Is there something better about them. Please help me out...

I don't know exactly what is going on with your car, but it might help you just to know what it's supposed to look like stock. The front or upstream O2s (before cats) are supposed to have the flat four connector. The two downstream sensors after the cats are supposed to have the square four. Good luck figuring it out. I had a pair of O2s last less than a year before throwing that stupid slow to respond code. I've had to swap them out twice just for that. I feel it's only a matter of time before I'm staring at another check engine light.
