Need suggestion about TPS....
I know where the post is, but nobody hardly goes to the tire and wheel section....
I am going to purchase some new wheels, nothing extravagant, I'm retired. and I am wondering if I should get some new TPS for the new wheels. The reason is the car is a 2004 corvette convertible and with the sensors that came with the car, probably made in 2003, is it worth the trouble of having them removed and put in the new wheels or spend the money on the new ones. The old chrome wheels are going on my son's 2002 SS Camaro, (and by the way, they will fit with no modifications right?), so I will be using the old wheels and it would cost me to take them apart and then together again and then balancing, so I would be spending a lot of money on older sensors.
Any help will be greatly appreciated...bob.

I would probably just buy new ones. or maybe not they should be good for 7 - 8 years
However......
FYI I just had sensors installed in my Avalanche Wheels. The tire shop only charged me $30 to do all 4. They can just pop the bead and change them they do not have to take the tire off the wheel.

If I was buying new wheels and tires from the same vendor as a package and I had the newer sensors in my ride I would buy new ones with the package. This way they would come all setup, balanced (road force), ready to bolt on, and would just need to be programed.
