reverse problem question
I think i posted this question in the wrong forum earlier , i am looking at buying a 2000 corvette with 60,000 miles . it's a stick , but the trans in reverse sometimes pops out of gear , is this a major repair or can it be minor , aside from dropping the transmission , and what may be the aprox cost ? thanks

Since the day I got my Vette it was hard to put into reverse, popped out a few times. It is tuff sometimes to get it into reverse. I have changed clutchs a few times and it seemed to go away. Not saying the clutch is the problem, but I tightened everything back up really good. It maybe the bolts are loose on the shifter plate. If not it would be a major repair and will cost quite a bit to fix. Good Luck
