Z06 alternator help
took out the Z the other day and a couple of miles down the road could hear this wine. (no not a bottle in the back) But under the hood. Alternator was screeming and was very hot. 
Got it home and checked the voltage at the battery with the engine off...... 18VOLTS Thought I would surf the web while here at work for a new/rebuilt alternator. I forgot to get the number off mine.
Anyone have a part number for a stock AC Delco alternator for a 2002 Z?
The thing that is funny is I just did the halo mod to my LED tailights and put thm in that day but I doubt that had anything to do with the alternator going wacko. Any thought on this?

Don't think the LED lights would do that to the alternator. Never did it to mine. Check on line with gmpartshouse.com for a part number.
