Has anyone removed their dash, and if so how hard was it on a scale of 1-10? Can someone give me some directions or point me in the right direction as to where i can find dash removal directions?
Want to do this myself but do not know how big of a job it will be
I would say it is a time consuming 3 (1 being putting air in the tires, 10 being a rebuild of an engine). Look for HUD install How To's on this site, that is what I used when I did mine (If you use quotation marks the search works a little better I have found). I was a bit aprehensive to go ripping my car apart when I have never done anything more complicated than put gas in it, but it is pretty easy. There are tons of little screws here and there, and the hard part is remembering which ones go where when you put it back together. It took me about an hour to take it all apart to do my HUD install, and about 40 minutes to put back together.

It is really much easier than you think. Also, you don't have to remove the glove box if you don't want to for the HUD install.

You'll basically need a 7mm and 10mm sockets along with a T-15 Torq bit to remove everything.
Start with the center console then the knee bolster and then the glove box. There are two black tabs in the glove box, pop them out to access the 10mm bolts.
Also pull the two "A" arm covers off. Remove the 7mm screws holding dash pad, don't forget to pop the defog vent up front and remove the two 7mm screws there too.
Take your time about 2 hr.Finding all the screws is the fun part.
Why are you taking it out?
Hey guys thanks for all the info. I'm thinking about taking my dash out to have it fiberglassed and painted to mtch my console and if i remove it myself it will save me some bucks

Also forgot to tell you about the two screws T15 in dash cluster that have to be removed.
