Pretty stupid in my opinion, unless it's a track only car.

You will be throwing off your suspension geometry and make your car handle and ride like crap.

If your really must lower your car invest in a set of coil overs and bump steer package.

when you remove the front bolts your leaf spring will rest up against the control arms, not a good idea.

X2. Your springs play a vital role in your car's suspension system.

Just pulled the bolts out of mine and all seem well. And what spring are you talking about? Also it handles better than it did before. I do also have 19's all 4 corners too. Maybe that could be why? Im going in today for an alignment as well...

Yeah I didnt think it was a good idea but I've seen a good amount of people that do it and say they had no bolts for acouple of years now and no problems. With the Leaf Spring and Control arms, the owners with no front bolts told me you put a peice of rubber between them and everything will be good. I guess I'll just be cutting the front bushing then. Is it possible when cutting the front bushings, can you cut off the 3 layers or just do 2/3?

Thanks!!!

I've been procrastinating on pulling mine to install the lowering ones since it's kind of a pain in the *** job for the results that I would be getting.

Not sure why you would remove them altogether though.

I did it and it def improve if anything, Have yet to see the downside.. I'm expecting a new set of tires and a wheel alignment at most in a couple of years worst case scenario... Not to mention, it looks bad azz slammed..

The spring is the tranverse spring that runs from one side to the other (black), you can't miss it.

It's going to look even cooler when you knock out your rocker panels and end up with a $3K bill to replace them both because both of your front fenders witll be flapping in the breeze.

Not to mention, that when you hit a nice bump in the road and end up in the next lane, because you have no suspension travel left because you removed the spring from the equation.

There's just so much bad advice given out here on the forum. If you don't believe me call up Phoenix Racing who does a lot of the T1 set-ups and see what they tell ya.

The C6 bolts don't even have bushings on them so its pretty close to not having bolts even in at all. I have C6 bolts in and they do just fine. The flat round end of the bolt against the spring is so small it doesn't do a whole lot anyway.

I took my front bolts with no ill effects to having them lowered all the way. Really what is the difference with people doing c6 bolts that have no rubber on them vs not having them at all with a piece of rubber in the middle. Car drives fine still and feels the same as it did before. Most people don't race their car like a t1 car so why do you need a t1 setup? Simply put is you don't.

It's not about running a T1 setup, it's about setting up your car properly. It's like removing your airbag. Yes, the car drives the same without it but is it safe, no.

Yep thats them. Its dang close to not having a bolt in there at all but the small round bottom does rest on the spring for what its worth.

Totally not true... Car rides very well with no issues what so ever. Unless you have knocked out your front fenders yourself for removing your front bolts, then I wouldn't talk much of anything.

In closing, I don't believe you and I'm not calling anyone. been like this for over a year now with no issues what so ever. Maybe your the one giving bad advice since your in this thread giving advice about a mod that you haven't done yourself..
